We are looking for a full-time laboratory technician to start on 1 April 2024. The position is permanent with a remuneration according to TV-L up to max. E9a if the personal requirements are met.
Your tasks:
- Carrying out project-related analyses, experience with HPLC (amino acid/sugar analysis) is of advantage
- Preparation, realisation, and supervision of biological-ecological field and laboratory experiments in research and teaching
- Ensuring the operability of the laboratories and field experiments
- Installation and maintenance of laboratory and experimental equipment
- Instruction, guidance, and supervision of students (e.g. for internships and theses) and junior scientists
- Ordering of technical equipment/devices and materials as well as maintenance and minor repairs
- Management and organisation of archives, cooling chambers, and storage rooms
- Support with the preparation and follow-up work of courses and excursions
- Organising the relocation of our laboratory and setting up the new laboratory at another location
Your profile:
- Successfully completed training as a chemical-technical or biological-technical assistant or equivalent
- Experience in working independently in the laboratory and in guiding students and staff
- Well-organised and meticulous working style
- Interest in nature conservation, landscape ecology, pollination and bee ecology
- Ability to work in a team
- Good German and English language skills
- Very good IT skills (MS Office)
- Driving licence class B would be an advantage
