In the current issue of the GfÖ news magazine, we present our book Praxishandbuch Nutzpflanzenbestäubung (Practical Handbook on Crop Pollination), which was published in May.
The book contains crop and bee profiles and gives suggestions for concrete measures to support pollinators and thereby increase pollination services. The key message of the book is that is important to provide flowering plants as resouces for nectar and pollen as well as nesting habitats for wild bees to bring pollinators back into our agricultural landscapes and increase the crop yield. Some of these measures can also be applied in small gardens and even on your balcony. What I really like about this book is that it contains many beautiful pictures of plants, flowers and of course bees.
